From One Idea to Hammonds Cozy Melts
Hammonds Cozy Melts began in 2024 with a simple conversation between mother and daughter, Hazel and Alice.
Hazel had an idea: “What if we made candles?”
What started as a conversation about fragrance quickly became something much bigger. Over the next few weeks, products were developed, a brand began taking shape, and plans for a September launch were underway. With only a few weeks between the idea and the goal, there wasn't much time to overthink it.
In September 2024, Hammonds Cozy Melts officially launched.
Since then, HCM has grown from its original candle collection into a home fragrance brand offering candles, wax melts, car fresheners, room sprays, diffuser oils, and an evolving collection of fragrances. What hasn't changed is the attention given to the details—from the scents we choose and the products we create to the way each order reaches your home.
HCM is still built by the same mother-daughter team behind that first conversation. We've spent the past two years learning from our customers, meeting many of you in person at markets, introducing new products, refining old favorites, and building a brand we're proud to put our names behind.

At Hammonds Cozy Melts, our mission is to make fragrance something you can explore. We create candles, wax melts, room sprays, diffuser oils, and car fragrance in a growing collection of scents, so you're never limited to just one way of making a space feel good.
We're always experimenting with what's next—testing new fragrances, introducing new ways to use them, and listening closely to what our customers come back for. Some scents stay favorites. Some surprise us. And sometimes the one you weren't sure about becomes the one you can't stop using.
Because we don't think you have to find “the one.”

Hazel is the creative spark behind HCM, always looking beyond what's expected and asking, “What could we try next?” From discovering new fragrance ideas to developing products and unexpected ways to experience scent, her curiosity keeps HCM evolving. She's also hands-on with the making, bringing those ideas to life one product at a time.
Alice is the bridge between Hazel's ideas and the world that experiences them. She shapes how HCM looks, sounds, and shows up—from the website and visual identity to marketing, product launches, and the customer experience. Blending creative direction with business strategy, Alice turns what's happening behind the scenes into the HCM brand you see today.
